Exchange with the Indian Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni on the potential of the 🇮🇳 🇩🇪 Strategic Partnership in the field of green hydrogen. In my view, there is great potential here for greater cooperation – especially in the supply and construction of large electrolysers. What is clear is that India will not initially be considered as an export country for Green Hydrogen and its derivatives due to its own extremely high emissions (around 2 billion tonnes of CO2 per year). In any case, the pace at which India is expanding renewable energies is impressive. The goal is to increase the capacity of renewable energies from around 77 GW in 2014 to around 150 GW today and 450 (!) GW in 2030.
